Domestic violence is a crime. Anyone can be a victim of abuse. Westchester County has resources available to enable victims to access support services such as counseling, advocacy, safety planning, court accompaniment and other related issues. The Office for Women provides information about and referrals to shelters, support groups, legal services and other organizations. Educational programs and publications are offered as well.

The county wants victims of domestic violence to know about the HopeLine program from Verizon Wireless. The company collects no-longer used wireless phones at their stores and turns them into a line of support for victims of domestic violence.
